Within the quiet city of Ysedena, student journalist Rain Atomber has been searching tirelessly for her elder sister, Fayd. After leaving a confession of her discontent five years ago, Fayd had run away from home with no trace but the letter on the dining room table. Rain's suspicions of foul play persisted, but local newspapers have stopped running her articles, claiming that her sister is long lost by now. Nearly abandoning the effort, her ambition is kick-started again when she meets Crowdan Alistair—an anxious young man that appears out of seemingly nowhere. He seeks adventure; she seeks the truth.

Devising plans together, they set off on a journey to discover if Fayd truly did flee of her own accord. However, the path they tread may only ensnare them within the wicked machinations of a demented queen.
